Alija Izetbegović Foundation Donated Protective Visors to Combat COVID-19

As part of the activities of the Alija Izetbegović Foundation aimed at mitigating the effects of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), on April 23, a donation to the Federation of Professional Unions of Doctors of Medicine and Dentistry of the Federation of BiH was presented at the premises of the Foundation. The donation consists of 3550 visor masks for medical staff to be distributed throughout the Federation through the Cantonal Professional Unions of Doctors, according to the expressed needs.

300 visors constitute a direct donation from the local manufacturer, the firm JUSRI from Goražde, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On behalf of the Federation of Professional Unions of Doctors of Medicine and Dentistry, the donation agreement was signed by Dr. Rijad Rifat Zaid.

An additional amount of 1,700 visors will be donated to nursing homes, community kitchens, care homes for children without parental care, the Institute for the Care of Mentally Disabled Children and Youth, health institutions in the Brčko District, health institutions in the B&H entity of RS through the non-governmental organization EMMAUS, and health institutions in the Sandžak region of the Republic of Serbia.
