The Ambassador of Egypt to Bosnia and Herzegovina Visits the Alija Izetbegović Foundation

On February 11, 2026, we had the honor and pleasure of welcoming H.E. the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Walid Haggag, at the Alija Izetbegović Foundation, where we held a very useful and inspiring discussion.

Ambassador Haggag was welcomed by members of the Foundation’s Board, Sabina Berberović and Adis Alagić, as well as the Secretary General, Esma Zlatar.

During the cordial meeting, we introduced Ambassador Haggag to the work of the Foundation and its most important projects. We also discussed the significant support and assistance that Egypt, together with other Arab countries, provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina during the difficult period of the Aggression from 1992 to 1995, as well as during the subsequent period of reconstruction and development. Today, the ties between the peoples of Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina are being further strengthened, particularly in the fields of science and education, tourism, and culture, and much more can be done to enhance these relations.

We extend our sincere gratitude to H.E. the Ambassador for this very important visit and look forward to continued good cooperation with the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as to the possibility of establishing connections with academic and non-governmental organizations in Egypt.
