The State of Palestine Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina visited Alija Izetbegović Foundation

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H. E. Razeq N. M. Namoura, visited the Alija Izetbegović Foundation on December 15, 2021.

At the Foundation, Ambassador was hosted by the President of the Foundation’s Board Mr. Faris Nanić, the member of the Board Mrs. Sabina Berberović, Secretary General Mr. Muhamed Mulahmetović and Secretary Mrs. Esma Zlatar.

Ambassador Namoura stated that it was a great honor to have the opportunity to visit the Foundation which cherishes the memory of President Alija Izetbegović’s life and work and which is located in the house where President Izetbegovic lived during the final years of this life. He also emphasized the special ties between the peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Palestine, as well as the cordial and friendly relationship that late presidents Alija Izetbegović and Yasser Arafat had, although they did not have the opportunity to meet often.

Board’s President Mr. Nanić presented the mission and goals of the Alija Izetbegović Foundation to Ambassador, while Secretary General Mr. Mulahmetović spoke of Foundation’s implemented and planned projects. Mr. Nanić emphasized the importance of life and work of President Izetbegović and their re-actualization in these times. Both sides agreed on future possible modalities of cooperation and forms in which the Embassy could contribute to the work and promotion of the Foundation. 

Mrs. Sabina Berberović thanked Ambassador Namoura for his visit to the Foundation, expressing her satisfaction with the opportunity to meet once again and stated her belief that the State of Palestine and its people deserve justice which will enable them to live in freedom and prosperity.
