International Open Call for Graphic Artworks Commemorating the Srebrenica Genocide

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Genocide against the Bosniaks of Srebrenica and Podrinje, the Alija Izetbegović Foundation, the Alija Izetbegović Museum, the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Sarajevo and the Persian-Bosnian College have announced an International Open Call for Submissions of Graphic Artworks Commemorating  the Srebrenica Genocide. The selected artworks will be exhibited at the Alija Izetbegović Museum in Sarajevo.

We invite you to take part in this important project. All necessary information for participation is provided in the text below.

Conditions:

  • Each artist may submit up to 5 works related to the themes of the Srebrenica Genocide;
  • Poster submissions must be in JPG or PNG format, with a resolution of 300 dpi and dimensions of 50 x 70 cm;
  • Artists must submit their full name, postal address, email address, phone number, photograph, and CV in a Word file;
  • The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the creation of artworks is not permitted and will result in disqualification;
  • All hand-drawn and digital artworks are accepted. For hand-drawn works, please send high-quality photos or scans;
  • Submissions can be sent via email: info@alijaizetbegovic.org.

Honors and Recognition:

  1. Selected works will be printed and exhibited at the Alija Izetbegović Museum in Sarajevo;
  2. award certificates will be issued by the organizer to the selected artists;
  3. featured artworks will be included in the digital exhibition catalog.
