Bosnia and Herzegovina Independence Day Celebration Ceremony Organized by Alija Izetbegović Foundation

Bosnia and Herzegovina Independence Day Ceremony, organized by Alija Izetbegović Foundation and under the auspices of Mr. Šefik Džaferović, Member of the B-H Presidency, was held on 1st March 2021 in the Sarajevo National Theater.

The speakers in the official part of the program were: Mr. Šefik Džaferović, Member of the B-H Presidency, Mr. Željko Komšić, Member of the B-H Presidency, Professor Mirko Pejanović, Vice President of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Mr. Faris Nanić, a member of Alija Izetbegović Foundation’s Board.

A limited number of high B-H officials and members of the diplomatic corps attended the ceremony, in accordance with the epidemiological measures due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The artistic part of the program included performances by the String section of the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Maestra Mrs. Samra Gulamović, the singers of the Opera of the Sarajevo National Theater, Mrs. Adema Pljevljak-Krehić, a soprano and Mr. Ivan Šarić, a bass, as well as the renowned actors of the Drama of the Sarajevo National Theater, Mr. Izudin Bajrović i Mrs. Mediha Musliović.

The ceremony was presented by Mrs. Maja Miralem and it was broadcast on the national TV station BHT1.

The program of the ceremony was arranged by Mr. Amel Suljović, Advisor to the Member of B-H Presidency, Mr. Šefik Džaferović.
